Our lives are so world centric, if only we would make it more God centric, then we would have so much more peace and calm in and around ourselves. When we move the focus of our attention and existence from people and anchor it in the Divine, then we restore our lives true foundation and experience lasting stability and contentment. In a God centric life our happiness is not based on the fickleness of the world but we remain in a state of constant joy with its roots deeply embedded in the Imperishable and the Eternal, hence our sense of fulfillment is permanent and free of all external factors and changes. Therefore, we should try to forge a bond with the Divine in any name and form depending upon our inclination, like that of a friend, father, or any other. Overtime, this connection will be stronger and become the centre of our lives and then we would truly live a Godly life with Divine Grace and Gratitude.
We are always so concerned about our social standing, monetary acquisitions, personal prestige, professional endeavors and ambitions, and many other such issues of like nature. But have we ever cared about our inner world, our state of soul and the development of our spiritual aspect. Even if not for the sake of spiritual development then atleast for the sake of our tangible bodies we should attend to the spiritual aspect of our being. Our soul is like the engine of our bodies. The body will be as healthy as the soul is nourished. A fulfilled soul becomes the basis of a healthy body. And incase, any bodily fraility comes our way then a fulfilled soul will help in alleviation of the ailment, hasten recovery and give us strength and courage to bear the bodily pain and discomfort. So, for one reason or the other, attending to our spiritual aspect of being is just as important if not more, as attending to the rest of the aspects, as this is the foundation of our very existence.
We are our only truest, deepest, longest companion. Our friendship with ourselves lasts for a life time. So, it only makes sense to try to know ourselves. And to understand ourselves we should observe ourselves and our responses in different scenarios and situations. How we feel when we are in company and when we are in solitude by ourselves. Some moments of silence and inner introspection will also prove useful in the journey of self discovery. Self- study and seeking guidance of those who are ahead of us in this path will help share and lighten and brighten our path. Gradually, we will come to know ourselves and realise our true nature. We will make amends and take the necessary bends. We will accept ourselves and remain happy in our own company. Maybe, even begin to like ourselves for all that we are and also for all that we are not. And thus our journey with our life long friend will prove to be a fruitful and fulfilled one.
